We wish you all welcome to the Zonta International District 13 meeting that will take place in Reykjavík on September 14th -17th 2017.               

At the District meeting we will have the opportunity to exchange views and opinions, experience and knowledge and discuss important issues. This will be an excellent opportunity  to inspire and get inspired for our continuous quest to improve and empower women’s rights, an inspiration we can bring back to our clubs at home.

We have decided upon a theme for the conference that will complement our regular District meeting activities. This theme is “Women on the move”, and refers to the massive and diverse issues raised by the unprecedented migration of people, not the least women and children, in our part of the world. This relates to asylum seekers, fugitives fleeing civil war and other immigrants. We will have some plenary lectures on the subject and possibly some discussions in a workshop.

Reykjavík and Iceland are interesting to visit and sightseeing opportunities have been organized so we will be able to mix some pleasure with business!
